A Mobile theatre is touring all the stations In Number 36 Fire Force area. The company, two leading firewomen, and four fire women are the artistes, scene shifters, comperes and drivers of the 3-ton lorry transport.
The aim of the play is to teach the latest mobilising scheme in conjunction with the fireguard organisation. The scene is a National Fire Service (NFS) Control Room complete with mobilising board, telephones etc. The company has given 200 shows, two shows a day for the last 4 months.
The profit, considerable innrease in general efficiency.
Company Officer C.J.Wembrow is the producer and scriptwriter and is attached to 36 area training school, Woodford Bridge.
Cast; Leading Firewoman J. Keat, and Leading Firewoman I, Appleby
Firewomen are: D.Chapman (driver) P. Hopper, J. Horne and Pledge.
Props and scenery were made by 36 Area workshop personnel.
